Scope
This policy covers the iOS application Calculator Lock: Secret Vault and the website calculatorlock.app, both operated by NaviStack LLC. It does not cover Apple's own services, such as the App Store, iCloud, or Face ID, which are governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy.
Data the developer collects
We designed the app to work without collecting your data. We do not collect your vault content, calculator code, recovery key, contact details, location, browsing history, advertising identifiers, or analytics events. We do not operate accounts or a content server, and we do not sell or share personal information for advertising.
calculatorlock.app uses no first-party analytics, advertising trackers, or third-party web fonts. Our hosting provider may process basic request data such as an IP address, browser information, requested URL, and timestamp to deliver and secure the website.
If you email support@calculatorlock.app, we receive the information you choose to include and use it only to respond.
Data processed only on your device
The app processes the following categories locally, inside its protected container. This data is not transmitted to NaviStack:
- Photos, videos, Live Photos, files, documents, and secure notes you choose to store.
- Your vault code and recovery material, including a generated recovery key and a biometric-protected copy that may remain on this iPhone for Safety Center.
- Encrypted vault metadata, such as folder names and item attributes.
- App preferences and security settings.
- Limited failed-attempt history (timestamps and result categories — never the digits entered).
- Local entitlement status reflecting your purchases.
Permissions the app may request
- Photos and Files. Access is limited to the items you select through Apple's system pickers. The app does not scan your library.
- Face ID / Touch ID. The current release uses iOS biometric authentication for main-vault access and recovery. iOS returns only a pass/fail result; biometric data is never available to the app.
Purchases
Premium purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit and billed to your Apple Account. Apple may process transaction and account information under Apple's own privacy terms. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-user identifier, purchase history, and transaction or entitlement status to present subscription options, restore purchases, prevent purchase fraud, and determine Premium access. RevenueCat does not receive vault content, vault codes, recovery keys, photos, videos, files, notes, or payment-card details. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
No tracking, advertising, or analytics
The app contains no advertising SDKs, no third-party tracking SDKs, and no developer analytics. It does not track you across apps or websites.
Storage and retention
Vault content and sensitive metadata are encrypted on your device and kept until you delete them. Temporary decrypted working files are removed after use, cancellation, locking, or relaunch recovery. Items you delete can remain in Recently Deleted for up to 30 days unless you delete them immediately and permanently.
Your deletion and export choices
You can export individual media and files, a selected set of supported media and files, or a complete vault package, including after a Premium plan ends. Complete Export includes notes and preserves folder structure. You can delete individual items, folders, or everything, and you can empty Recently Deleted immediately.
If you uninstall the app
Because there is no account or cloud backup at launch, the vault exists only inside the app's local container. Deleting the app without exporting first can permanently remove your vault content. Run Complete Export and verify the exported files before uninstalling.
Security safeguards and limitations
The app encrypts content on the device, stores keys in protected system storage, limits repeated unlock attempts, and never stores attempted code digits. No security measure is perfect: the protection of your vault also depends on your device passcode, your iOS version, and keeping your calculator code and recovery key private. We cannot access, recreate, or reset them for you.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed to children and is not designed to collect personal information from children or anyone else. If you believe a child has provided us personal information by email, contact support@calculatorlock.app and we will delete it.
International users
Because no developer-operated account or content service is used, your vault content is not transferred to us across borders. Support email you send may be processed where our support systems operate.
Changes to this policy
We will post material changes on this page and update the date above. Where appropriate, changes will also be reflected in the App Store listing.
